CAREY AND DUNSHORE CELEBRATED AT TOC AWARDS

NUNAWADING BASKETBALL | The exceptional performance of Nunawading Basketball Referee’s continues to gain recognition, with Sarah Carey and Bianca Dunshore acknowledged at the Technical Officials Commission Annual Awards held at Nunawading Basketball Centre over the weekend.  

Sarah Carey, who most recently officiated the Commonwealth Games was awarded the Female Referee of the Year. Across 2017 Carey was selected to attend a number of FIBA events and also officiated the WNBL Grand Final Series played between the Townsville Fire and Melbourne Boomers.

Bianca Dunshore also capped off a fantastic year, being named the Sharon Arnold Senior Panel Female Referee of the Year.

Nunawading Basketball has a long history of fostering the development of some of Australia’s finest basketball officials.

“We are extremely proud to have our referees acknowledged as the best in Victoria,” Nunawading Basketball representative Dennis O’Brien said.

With Carey and Dunshore celebrated at the 2017 awards, Nunawading Basketball looks forward to another strong year by all its officials across 2018.
