NUNAWADING BASKETBALL would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Rosemary Day who passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon.


Rosemary devoted more than half of her life to Nunawading and the sport of basketball having served as President of the Senior Domestic Committee. Rosemary also sat on committees for the Australian Club Championships, Oceanic Games, Paraplegic Games, Veterans Games.


Rosemary was also a strong advocate for Women’s basketball having served as President of the Women’s Basketball Commission.


Rosemary is a Nunawading Hall of Fame Inductee and is a Life Member of both the MEBA and Basketball Victoria.


Rosemary will be remembered as an incredibly strong and loyal woman and will be sorely missed by all within the Nunawading community.



A memorial service for Rosemary will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday 31st October at the Nunawading Basketball Centre.
