मेलबर्न – The Nunawading Spectres have signed American import Devon Brookshire ahead of the NBL1 South season the club announced today.
Brookshire, a 6’3” Forward out of St Mary’s California is currently plying her trade for Hogsbo (Sweden-Damligan) where she leads the team with 12.4 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
A native of California, Brookshire has been somewhat of a globetrotter since graduating from SMC in 2017, with stops in Ireland, France, Spain, Latvia, Portugal and Sweden. Her arrival in Australia a welcomed addition for Spectres Head Coach Paul Flynn.

“It’s been a long, arduous search to find the right fit for us and I am confident that Devon’s skillset and experience will help propel us forward. She gives us a strong, physical presence defensively, and an impressive offensive package that can see her score in a variety of ways, both inside and out.”

Brookshire joins Rachel Antoniadou, Rachel Brewster, Cassidy Mihalko, Izzy Feller, Emma Pearce, Tayha Watkins and Taylah Schmidtke as confirmed signings ahead of their Home Opener against 2022 Finalists, Mount Gambier on Sunday 2 April.
