Summer Championship Team Registrations

Welcome to the inaugural Nunawading Men’s and Women’s Basketball Summer Championship, an exciting and highly competitive tournament designed for elite and top-quality male and female amateur basketball players. With a $1000 prize money for the winning team of each competition, this is an opportunity for you and your team that you don’t want to miss!

COMPETITION DETAILS

Competition Type: Elite and Top-Quality Amateur Basketball Players

Season Start Date: 12th November

Prize Money: $1000 to the Winning Team of the Male and Female competitions

Team Registration Fee: $100

Match Fee: $95

Match Times: Sundays 5:00 PM, 5.45 PM, 6.30 PM, 7.15 PM, 8.00 PM, 9:30 PM

Maximum Teams: 10 (in the event of more teams registered we will request team lists to be submitted to ensure the highest quality teams are given priority)

Sunday Section 1 Teams: Any Sunday Section 1 team who wish to enter this competition can be entered into the Section 1 competition prior the Summer Championship as there is a possibility of too much interest which could result in the team not gaining entry and we do not want the team to miss out on a season of basketball.

1. Round 1 – 12-Nov
2. Round 2 – 19-Nov
3. Round 3 – 26-Nov
4. Round 4 – 3-Dec
5. Round 5 – 10-Dec
6. Round 6 – 17-Dec
7. Round 7 – 14-Jan
8. Round 8 – 21-Jan
9. Round 9 – 28-Jan
10. Qualifying Finals (1st & 2nd get a second chance) – 4-Feb
11. Semi-Finals – 11-Feb
12. Grand Final – 18-Feb

COMPETITION FORMAT

• Each match consists of 4 x 8-minute quarters, clock stops last 30 seconds each quarter and last 2 minutes of 4th quarter on all whistles.
• A 24-second shot clock will be used.
• The matches will be officiated by 3 experienced referees.
• A scorer will be provided for each game to ensure shot clock operation.
