Quick Set to Lead Spectres Big V Women

Nunawading Basketball is thrilled to announce the appointment of Amy Quick as the new Head Coach of the Nunawading Spectres Big V Women’s team. Amy brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to player development, making her the ideal leader to guide the next generation of elite talent through the association’s pathway.

Amy has a proven track record of developing athletes at various levels, and has recently been appointed as an Assistant Coach to the U18 Victorian Metro Women’s Team. Her ability to fast-track athlete progression through skill development and tactical execution will be invaluable as she takes the reins of the Spectres Big V – Victorian Youth Championship program. Known for her collaborative leadership style and deep understanding of elite basketball, Amy has a demonstrated commitment to empowering players, fostering growth and success within her teams.

Nunawading Basketball Operations Manager and NBL1 Women’s Head Coach, Paul Flynn, expressed excitement about the appointment: 

“Amy’s appointment represents a significant step in our commitment to maintaining the Nunawading Spectres as a leader in player development. Her technical expertise, leadership, and passion for the game align perfectly with our goals of nurturing athletes to progress into NBL1 and beyond.”

Amy Quick shared her enthusiasm about the role: 

“I am really excited for this opportunity and looking forward to continue building a successful Youth League program at Nunawading. Working with our NBL1 program and with a focus on player development, we will set up an elite pathway for our athletes.”

She added, “We have a very talented pool of players within our club with some amazing potential.”

“I love this sport, and my goal for my players is that they continue to develop, always compete, and succeed both on and off the court,” Amy said.

As Head Coach, Amy will be responsible for driving the development and success of the Big V Women’s team, which serves as a critical feeder program to the NBL1 South team. She will work closely with the coaching staff and Nunawading Spectres’ leadership to ensure the continued success of the program, with a strong emphasis on individual player development and team success.

The Nunawading Spectres look forward to an exciting season under Amy’s leadership as the team continues to be a key part of the association’s pathway for elite basketball talent in Victoria.
