Spectres U20 & Big V Tryouts

The Melbourne East Basketball Association and Nunawading Spectres Representative Program is pleased to announce registrations for its upcoming U20 & Big V – Victorian Youth Championship (U23) Tryouts are now open.

Whilst we have not had an U20 Women’s team for a number of years, should interest levels be high enough we are open to entering one in the 2025 season.

U20 VJBL
Players looking to participate in U20 VJBL competition must be born in either 2006 or 2007.

Big V – Victorian Youth Championship (U23)
Players looking to participate in Big V – Victorian Youth Championship must be born in 2002 or later.

Please note, that online registration via the PlayHQ portal above is the only avenue to register for the upcoming tryouts.

Only players that have registered will be allowed to enter and participate in the Nunawading Spectres U20 & Big V Tryouts.

1. No walk-ups will be permitted entry.
2. Tryout Registrations will close at 5:00pm, 6 October 2024
3. Those that are coming from another representative program and wish to be considered for U20’s will need a Permission to Train (PTT) from your previous club/association. If we do not receive a PTT from your previous club/association prior to your tryout session, you will not be permitted to participate. PTT’s are not required for players only seeking selection to the Big V side.

Session 1, Thursday 10 October
Women 5.30pm-7.45pm @ Nunawading Basketball Centre
Men 7.30pm-9.30pm @ The Knox School

Session 2, Tuesday 15 October
Men 5.30pm-7.45pm @ Nunawading Basketball Centre
Women 6.00pm-7.45pm Forest Hill College

Session 3, Thursday 17 October
Men 5.30pm-7.45pm Nunawading Basketball Centre
Women 7.30pm-9.30pm The Knox School
