The Nunawading Spectres are bringing NBL1 basketball back to The Graveyard @ Nunawading Basketball Centre this Sunday, the home opener of the NBL1 South season set to be a blockbuster against the Sandringham Sabres.
NBL1 South games at The Graveyard are fully ticketed with purchases made online only – note there will be no box office onsite at Nunawading Basketball Centre on game days.
The Spectres tipped off their NBL1 South campaigns in Frankston last weekend, splitting results against the Blues. Whilst the women dropped their opening game, Nunawading welcomed back former junior Louise Brown on the back of a 6-year collegiate career in the United States that saw stops at both Washington State and Tennessee. The men proved that they are still a force to be reckoned with, claiming a solid win over a highly favored Blues outfit. 2019 Finals MVP Dain Swetalla pouring in a massive 35-points.
This Sunday the 2019 Champions will be presented with their championship rings (finally) in a short ceremony scheduled at half time of the women’s game.
