The Nunawading Spectres will pay tribute to it’s WNBL & NBL teams of the 80’s when they take the floor for NBL1 South Heritage Round this Saturday night, both women’s and men’s sides set to run out in uniforms inspired by the teams in 1984.

The 80’s was an incredible decade for the Nunawading Spectres, where at senior level the program won six WNBL championships in a seven year span, and also made an NBL Grand Final appearance in 1981.

The Spectres featured household names like Maher, Timms, Deacon, McKay, Stacker, Uthoff, Harmison and Fox just to name a few.

This week the Nunawading Basketball social pages will feature throwbacks to the teams and personalities of the 80’s in the lead up to Saturday nights NBL1 South Heritage Round clash with the Waverley Falcons. Tickets can be purchased online here.

If you or someone you know played for the Spectres in the 80’s, the club would love to see you down at the Nunawading Basketball Centre this Saturday night to re-live some of the glory days of 80’s hoops.
