Vale Barry Spicer

Nunawading Basketball is deeply saddened by the passing of Referee Life Member, Barry Spicer.

Barry was not just a referee; he was a mentor, a coach, and a true inspiration to many.

Barry dedicated 17 incredible years to the world of International Wheelchair Basketball. His contributions extended far beyond the court, serving as the NB-TOC commissioner and wellbeing officer, demonstrating his commitment to the welfare and growth of our referees.

For his impact on referees at Nunawading, Barry earned his life membership to the Nunawading Basketball – Technical Officials Commission in 2022.

Our thoughts extend to Barry’s family and friends in this incredibly difficult time.
