Identification and selection into these programs is an exceptional reward for any aspiring young athlete and signals the beginning of what could prove an exciting pathway.
“We’re thrilled for our athletes that have been recognized by Basketball Victoria with selection into both SDP and NPP pathways,” Nunawading Spectres Junior Program Director of Coaching Tamie Harvey said.
“We are very proud of them and their achievement thus far, particularly on the back of such a long and involuntary time away from competitive basketball.”
In addition to the athletes listed above, Nunawading Basketball would like to acknowledge the ongoing efforts of all its representative athletes and those that were on the fringe of selection. Performance selections in the Victorian pathway are highly competitive and not all athletes will achieve their immediate goal. Nunawading Basketball remains committed to providing athletes with development opportunities as they pursue performance pathways and beyond.
Nunawading Basketball wishes to also acknowledge the significant and ongoing role its MEBA Domestic Clubs, many of which are represented in the above selections, play in the development pathway of our many athletes.
